How could it have happened like this? Yuki was marrying that girl today and... There was nothing Adela could do about it. She never told him how she felt, true, but that didn't mean he could...

No, that was the green-eyed monster talking. She sighed and rubbed her temple, simply standing there outside of the door before she started to pace in front of it. Why was she even there? To wish him luck? Well, maybe. She was there after all, because she was invited. Because she and Yuki were friends. But... She didn't want to just be his friend.

"Damn it, Sohma," Adela mumbled quietly to herself, still trying to figure out what she was going to do or say and not realizing that she could be easily heard.
