Put on something nice and meet me on the roof.

That's all the note she found slipped under her door had on it--along with the time to meet. When she looked out into the hall, she didn't see anyone, or hear anyone moving away. She closed the door and leaned against it, debating what she should do. She didn't think someone who would want to do her ( Read more... )

Y hello there~ boxingpriest October 19 2011, 15:17:11 UTC
Even though he didn't like the idea of being here again, Mulcahy had decided to come out from hiding in his room and explore the place again. Also something that sort of made him happy was that a person that he met on his first day here was still at this place, even though he did feel slightly guilty that she was here and he got to leave, even if it was for a short time.

Upon finding out that it was her birthday, he decided to make something for her and invite her to the roof to see it.

"Hello." He responded.

She turned when she heard the familiar voice, and her eyes grew wide when she saw him. Not only had it been a while, but he was dressed so differently. It still looked like a uniform, but it was so much nicer.

"Francis!?" she asked in disbelief and wonder.

[ooc: Of course, she's putting him in his dress uniform.]

"Yes, it's me." He said, blushing ever so slightly. Sheen may be the only person to call him 'Francis'. His dress uniform may not have been completely fancy, but it was all he had on him. He also gave her a smile, it was quite a while since they last met.

"I heard it was your birthday today."

(ooc: But of course~ He looks better in that anyways XD )

Sheena didn't know if she was happy or sad to see him, so she settled on a mixture of both as she approached him. During the past several months, she had built up quite a resistance to the hotel's influence, so the kiss on his cheek and hug she gave him, were those of a friend. Nothing more, so there was no stuffing being hugged out of him this time.

Pulling back, she smiled at him, confused. "Who told you it was my birthday?"

Well, hey. The hotel told Bruce to surprise someone on their birthday. And he never missed a good party ... or a date, for that matter. Priorities, he had them.

So he'd put on his best tuxedo and made his way to the roof. He hadn't been waiting for more than a few minutes when company arrived.

"Hello," he replied with a smile.

(OOC: Sorry about dropped threads last time! Also it's up to you if Sheena remembers him or not.)

Sheena had those, too, but a date usually wasn't at the top. Satisfying her curiosity was, though, and it had just been tweaked and piqued some more by that voice.

Her eyes were drawn over to the side, where she saw him standing, and her breath caught at the picture he presented. She knew him, but from where--?

Then she realized. She was a vampire, he was Batman...only his wasn't a fantasy from the hotel.

"Hello, Bruce," she said softly.

[ooc: That's okay. I know how it goes.]

So that wasn't a dream after all. Mentally, he breathed a sigh of relief that this was someone he wouldn't have to keep up appearances with. Pretending to be clueless and self-absorbed got tiresome after a while.

"Sheena," he said as he pulled out a chair for her. "I take it you're the birthday lady?" She had to be or else she wouldn't be there, and now Bruce found himself wishing he'd known beforehand that she'd be his date. He certainly could have gotten her a better present than what he'd brought. Then again, maybe there'd be another time for lavish gifts.

Nodding, she smiled up at him as she took her seat. "I guess I am. But...how did you know to do this?" She looked around again in wonder and delight, her eyes shining with happiness.

She hadn't had too many birthday parties in her life.

Naruto had been hiding behind the door when she opened it, and she had been so taken with the scene before her that she hadn't even sensed his presence before he made it known to her. She felt her jaw drop when she saw who was responsible for this, and she was momentarily left speechless. Although the shuriken on top of the cake should have been a good clue.

Her eyes wide with wonder, she walked slowly past him, taking everything in. She had made a promise to him on his birthday that when she figured out when hers was according to whatever calendar the hotel used, she'd share it with him. Before she had a chance to do so, he had gone ahead and done this.

They barely knew each other, and he had done this for herShe was literally choked with emotion as she turned slowly back to him. Birthday or not, this was a date she would remember and would love to share with him again. Their own special shared birthday. No one had ever done anything like this for her before, and she truly didn't know what to say. Except for the obvious ( ... )

They should compare notes one day to see who was the more overprotective. More than likely, it would end in a tie. She was as fiercely loyal to her friends as he was--to the point that her own problems (and life) weren't as important as theirs. She hated to see anyone suffer and would go to great lengths to prevent that from happening ( ... )
