Knowing very well that Lupin was trying to 'cheer him up' by telling him not to think about the past, Jigen appreciated that gesture, even if it didn't do much for his mood as a whole

If it wasn't for the fact that Jigen was fully aware of the fact that he was still at that blasted hotel, he could swear that he was back home. That scenario was so quiet and calm, it almost felt out of place with the 'theme' in that building.

Not that Jigen was going to complain about it. He rather much preferred things to stay just like that. He didn't need anything absurd happening at the moment.
