Hurt / Comfort / Intro - Mainly for CR

Akihiko had been here for a couple days. He had not really slept much while he had been there if only because he was too confused, and in a morbid way, fascinated by the resemblence the Hotel had with Tartarus. He had quickly found his evoker once he had decided on a room to make his central base and landmark, and kept the device with him at all ( Read more... )

"I know the feeling." A calm, cool voice came from the doorway, a figure looking for the whole world like a young man (albeit rather short) standing there. "However, I don't think that's the answer." She - not he - motioned to the gun in the older boy's grasp. Naoto didn't know what situation this young man had been in, but she indeed could understand how he felt.

Akihiko shot a glare at the figure for half a second before his face fell into the normal grieving look. He waved the 'gun' at the person lazily. "Don't worry. It's not a real gun."

As if to demonstrate, he put it to his head again, and pulled the trigger. Half an instant later, Polydeuces stood towering over him, the syringe-like arm positioned defensively around Akihiko before fading away.

Before she could cry out, he had fired, but instead of blood, she was given a completely different sight. Her eyes went wide in disbelief, though she knew right away what that was. "Persona...?!" Naoto was shocked; who else had the ability besides her and her friends?

He nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'm a part of Gekoukan High's SEES club. Shadow Extracurricular Extermination Squad."

He sighed again. "But still... what's the point of being able to use a Persona if you can't protect those you care about...?"

Would a Minako do? infinite_arcana October 7 2011, 04:43:08 UTC
Minako had taken to roaming the halls at night, and while she was a young woman, she was hardly defenseless. It was something she'd become accustomed to thanks to many nights spent climbing Tartarus, but that... that had had a point, but this place had anything but.

At first, it was the noise that drew her attention. Noisy rooms weren't really that abnormal in the hotel, but hearing sounds of violence instead of pleasure? Quietly, she stepped into the doorway and found herself staring down at the mess littering the room, as well as the person that had created it.

No matter what, the sight of him pulled a small smile to her lips, even if it was a bit sad.

"You do protect people with it."

OF COURSE! :D sanada_senpai October 7 2011, 21:37:50 UTC
Akihiko couldn't even bring himself to make eye contact with Minako. It was far too fresh in his mind and the wounds were too painful to let even her past his stoic facade, despite the quiet weeping he was doing in the corner.

"Then why is Shinji dead? ...It's my fault... if only I had realized what day it was sooner..."

Sighing, softly, she stepped closer, quietly closing the door behind her, but taking care to keep it from truly shutting. If that happened, then certain things would have to happen in order to free the two of them, she while she wouldn't mind it, she wasn't sure he'd be in the mood for something like that.

Not tonight.

She moved across the room in just a few steps, dropping to her knees before him as she reached for one of his hands. It wouldn't do for him to find out how she'd ended up after everything was over, so for now, she'd see what she could do to help him through.

"It's not your fault. It never was."

Akihiko didn't stop her. At the moment, he was just grateful for the company. When he spoke, his voice shook - something that was virtually unheard of for him - and he sounded hoarse even. "You weren't there as soon as I was... I saw that bastard shoot him... if I had just remembered the date... you and the others handled the shadows easily enough... but... if I had only been able to warn Shinji... we could have taken down that bastard Takaya..."

"Hey, Senpai?" a familiar voice called out from the doorway as its owner peeked inside. "S'wrong?"

For once, Junpei's voice was a welcome sound. "Nothing... just... a dream..." He didn't say of what, but there was only one other thing that had ever made Akihiko this vulnerable, and Mitsuru was the only one who knew about that.

"More like a nightmare," Junpei said as he walked in to sit by Akihiko. "I mean, you do protect people. You protected me. Hell, you saved me, Senpai. I could never thank you enough for that!" Junpei grinned at him.

"I appreciate it, Iori... but Shinji was my best friend..." He paused, glaring at his Evoker, before tossing it aside.

"...And I saw that bastard shoot him... if only I had realized the date a few minutes sooner... I could've saved him..."
