It caused a strong sense of disconnection, and he let out a deep, irritated breath, his fingers smoothing down the two dark wings at his hips absently, feathers a bit ruffled

"Sephiroth?"

She stopped when she rounded the corner and spotted him, blinking a couple of times. Wait a minute, something seemed... Weird about him. It'd probably take her a little bit to identify what, but at the time she didn't know. And she wasn't even going to ask about the Japanese robe he was wearing.

Whether Adela would be the distraction he was looking for or not was anyone's guess.

"I mean it. It looks good," She mumbled, still feeling a bit uncomfortable before she cleared her throat, "So... Why aren't you still at the festival? Not fun or something?"

"The air around the festival made me uncomfortable."

She frowned, quiet for a beat and turning to meet his gaze again, "Anywhere you wanted to go then?"

She might have wanted to go to the festival, but she wanted to be with Sephiroth more, even if she couldn't explain why she felt the need to just be near him.

"Nothing particular, no."

Well that left her out of ideas. Mostly because she couldn't get her mind off the damn festival, no she was more curious about it than anything. Just saying it was a festival could mean nearly anything, and she hadn't been to anything festive in a long time...

She shook it off and reached to hook her arm around his, her frown going into a softer expression, "Maybe we should find somewhere to just enjoy each others company."

Preferably alone.

He blinked and inclined his head. "We can do that too."

She smiled - yes smiled - and tugged lightly to lead the way, "I found some gardens a few floors up. We could go there if you want."

"There's nothing strange about them is there?"

[piercingshadow]

"Why would there be anything strange about them?"

[thewaitingdark]

"Most gardens here have something wrong with them."

[piercingshadow]

"Nothing weird's ever happened while I was there. I know a lot of the hotel's covered in traps, but m'pretty sure it's safe."

"Very well, then we can go."

She nodded and led him to the elevator then, waiting until he was inside before she found the right floor. When the door opened again, it revealed a bridge leading to a pond*, and she couldn't help but relax as they got onto the grass, "I know there aren't a lot've flowers and junk around, but I really liked it. I've never seen anyone else around here either, so m'glad I could show it to you."

He looked around slowly, curious.

She remained at his side, closing her eyes and content to just be this close to him. There was just something about him then. It made her feel warmer and happier to be near him than usual.
