"Your companions are not here right now," The eye-patched man, who was completely naked and doused in thick gobs of caramel, stated with lusty menace. "However, I am." He grinned at the robed man.

Violet gaze shifted to the stranger -- and Sanzo stared blankly. What the hell? First mirrors on the ceiling, now a naked guy with what appeared to be caramel all over him? And he was grinning. That was... disturbing. He hadn't been awake long enough to deal with this kind of shit yet.

Or ever, really.

Finally, he looked away, sighing inwardly. "Why do I attract these types?"

He seemed rather disappointed at the robed man's reserved reaction. His sugary exhibitionism had fallen flat on this one, and he returned the blonde's inward sigh with a rather glum stare.

"Have you been castrated? Or are you always flaccid?" he asked in his blunt, coarse manner.

That had him looking back at the other man, expression torn between dismay and annoyance. "...are you serious?" It was the only thing he could think to ask.

And who would happen to be walking down that hallway but someone Sanzo would find familiar. Green eyes go a little wide at the sight of his friend, his steps pausing as he stared at the blond monk.

"... well, where shall we be going, hm?"

He looked at Hakkai, arms crossing over his chest, an eyebrow lifting at what he thought was a rather odd question. Where? Where they'd been going, of course. He didn't say that, though. Instead, he shook his head. "If you aren't ready, I'll just leave you behind. Where's the kappa and monkey?"

Of course. Sighing, Hakkai put on his best polite smile and padded closer, know full well that Sanzo was either going to think he had finally lost his mind (which wasn't too far from the truth) or try to beat him to death with that damned fan of his.

"They're not here, as far as I know. Not anymore, but this... isn't quite what you're thinking. We're not in the inn you remember."

Sanzo watched Hakkai, eyebrow remaining lifted as he mentally questioned the brunette's sanity. What the hell was he on about? "I don't remember this inn at all, so..." He trailed off, glancing past Hakkai and down the hallway. "What do you mean they're not here?"

It was more the "It's time to go" that caught Io's attention as he passed the open doorway than anything else, and he paused and turned up, looking back at the man curiously. He almost looked like he could be a high-ranking member of the Order but the robes were different.

"You must be new here," the young replica said, going off of the fact that he had mentioned leaving. As far as he knew, most people who weren't knew there was no way to get out.

Sanzo looked at the boy, an eyebrow raising. "New?" he echoed. Assuming he meant to the town this particular inn was located in, he shook his head. "No. We're just passing through."

Definitely new then. Ion wasn't sure he could do this. It was rare for him to meet new people, the only other one having been someone he knew who had already figured things out...but he should explain.

"I'm afraid leaving here isn't as simple as that."

That eyebrow hitched further up into the bangs that fringed his eyes. "How so?" Was there some sort of problem? Demons? Sanzo shifted his gaze past the boy and down the hallway.
