"I asked if you were okay, pal," the short woman says pulling her lips back. She is not sneering at him but she might as well be. She's annoyed that he hadn't responded right away.

"This isn't a safe place to... I don't even know what you were doing," she puts a hand to her forehead as she shakes her head. This place isn't safe for anyone.

"Fine." His voice is like gravel. "I know it's not safe. Who's in charge here?"

He's watching her like a hawk now, constantly alert, measuring her with his gaze.

Has anyone ever told him that he is creepy as all hell? Probably not because no one wants a Batfist to the face.

"I don't know. I've asked around and no one has a damn clue," she says while standing up straight and trying to not look intimidated by him, it's failing he is scary.

"How long have you been here?" The questions come like he's interrogating her, when what he really wants is to put the pieces together, solve the puzzle and save everyone.

And then melt back into the shadows to have some personal space after all this touching.

"Batman." Her voice isn't quite a purr. Yet. "I had a feeling you would show up here sooner or later."

Ivy is...cautiously pleased. Batman had always been something like a favorite. Someone she could hate and love at the same time. She slides into the room, keeping a careful distance still.

"Isely." Bats lets a frown cross his face briefly--a reconsidering one--and doesn't relax. How well he knows by now not to drop his guard around her. "...You were my prime suspect."

He straightens a tad as she enters, sensing there are still a ton of pieces to this puzzle yet to be accounted for.

She laughs softly. "You flatter me, love. But this isn't one of mine. I'm afraid I'm just as trapped here as you are."

And that might be more than a trace of bitterness and anger in her voice. She covers it by tilting her head a bit and watching him, "I can't help but wonder if anyone's managed to get that cape and cowl of you yet."

"I believe you." He glances around again, constantly on the alert for something, and then looks back to her at the suggestion.

"Someone has." He says in a tone that suggests that's not the best topic, and asks, "Are the pheromones here affecting you?"

Selina gestures the hallway before her, a hand on her hip, in full black leather attire. Her hood is pulled down. She's entirely over this place already, and this? This just wasn't fair.

She shifts a little, watching him, unsure about getting any closer. Most of her wants to try to comfort the man in black, and her head is screaming to just turn and walk away. Find a nice sunny corner to curl up in and take a nap. Damn you, Bruce.

"Selina." Oh man here's one person he's very nearly almost kinda happy to see, and she's as trapped as he is. Damn. "Are you all right?"

Ordinarily he wouldn't bother to ask. He's feeling a little out of sorts since the Joker badtouched him all over.

Her demeanor makes a full one-eighty at the sound of his voice, brow knitting. He has that effect on her. Something happened. Take a vacation, brain. She just can't leave now.

"B--...I'm, I'm fine." That's not the important thing right now, "Are you? What are you so--tense about?"

Selina does come closer now, crossing her arms, half-disguised concern etched on her features. She wasn't that worried, of course not, he's walked away with worse...hasn't he?

He doesn't move as she approaches, standing like a man etched of stone. "Nothing. We need to get you out of here."

Not surprising that in this place, of all places, he's never wanted to touch her more - never wanted to hold her closer, just to breathe in and keep her close - he knows it isn't the toxic air, he's felt like that almost from the first time he ever saw her. It's just never been this hard to fight. He opens his arms, breaking the spell of motionlessness.

Black Canary walked up to her fellow Justice Leaguer with concern on her face, she knew the Dark Knight could get snappy but something didn't quite sit right this time round.

"Calm down Bruce, you're going to give yourself a heart attack one of these days." The blond advised stalking closer to press a black leather gloved hand against his kevlar covered chest.
