The thought alone, however, even the slim possibility was enough to get Yuuki's hopes up. Strangely, it felt as though she hadn't seen or even heard from Kaname in ages. If there was even the smallest of chances that the voice who called her name was real, to even spend a moment longer wondering why was unheard of. If it was him, Yuuki knew she didn't need to seek out any further way to keep herself tucked away while in such a state ( ... )

"Yuuki," he said again, searching her eyes. Crimson. "Is anything wrong?" Something had to be wrong. (Mysterious love hotels aside, but that was an issue entirely beside the point.)

"I'm..." Yuuki started. "This place is strange, but I think I feel okay..." Red eyes opened again to watch him, wet with a thin layer of unshed tears that matched a relieved, yet somewhat dazed smile that played across her lips.
Another aching pulse almost made Yuuki shiver. Her fingers curled tighter between his, head shifting. Lips brushed the inside of Kaname's wrist and a few deep, quiet breaths before adding, "It just feels like it's been months since I last saw you."
