Dreams came often to Yuuki. Random, whimsical stories that belonged in a children's book; joyful ones with peace and joy and those she cared about. Dreams that wove together the more startling images from her true past and the threads of the what-could-have-beens and the possibilities the future held. They were common, yet altogether not. She only vaguely heard his voice at first. A part of the dream, an illusion. It had to be.

The thought alone, however, even the slim possibility was enough to get Yuuki's hopes up. Strangely, it felt as though she hadn't seen or even heard from Kaname in ages. Yuuki remained as close to him as possible, even while gazing up to him. It didn't matter whether this was a dream or not. Not at the moment. Only that, if it was, Kaname felt real enough. The hand Yuuki had at his side went up to cover one at her cheek, fingers slipping between his. Her eyes briefly closed when she nuzzled into his touch.

"I'm..." Yuuki started. "This place is strange, but I think I feel okay..." Red eyes opened again to watch him, wet with a thin layer of unshed tears that matched a relieved, yet somewhat dazed smile that played across her lips.

Another aching pulse almost made Yuuki shiver. Her fingers curled tighter between his, head shifting. Lips brushed the inside of Kaname's wrist and a few deep, quiet breaths before adding, "It just feels like it's been months since I last saw you."
