Ron was under no illusion that flirting with Jack could be a dangerous thing, but even Lan was having fun with it and that helped to make Ron's innate waryness of it dissipate slightly.

Seeing a man already there, she paused a short distance from him, and examined the weapons he had laid out in front of him. There were a few, some of which she had not had a chance to try, yet. Intrigued, she stood back to watch.

He noticed a beutiful woman standing back to watch. Damn, but the lottery must have been fixed to allow for a greater than usual quotient of gorgeous bodies.
"Evening folks." Jack greeted, making sure to include the woman.
"Quite an array you have there Captain Boone. It's good to know you know how to handle all kinds of weapons." Jack looked over to the woman. "Here for the show or do you care to play?"
He wouldn't mind teaching her how to shoot. Except she had a way of standing, a hint in her body language. "Which service?" He asked her as he pulled his own Webley and sat it among the much more advanced weaponry.

"Dr Pierson, isn't it? And" he frowned "Ziva? Wasn't that what you had in your application?"
Ron let his fingers drift over the weapon Jack deposited. "Nice hardware" he looked up with a grin "I'm used to handling plenty of hardware, truth to tell. And far more competent than most with some of these, alien devices." He looked down at the gun again "Webley mark I? Been a long time since I saw one of these. .455 caliber, fairly accurate, but only 6 shots. Although if you have a revolver loader and get used to using them, you can fire fairly quickly. I prefer the slightly heavier pistols myself, the Browning is mine..."
Fingers moved, drifting to the Browning buck mark gun, with the rosewood grip. "This is my baby."

Jack looked at Boon's Browning. "Nice grip."
Yep, completely innocent.
"My gun's been with me a long time. Longer than any person. Six shots are enough. I carry another for more than that." He'd fallen away from carrying a hidden weapon or two for a very long while. It was foolish.
"So let's see what these beauties can do." Jack gestured for Boone to take over.

And, oh, hey! More paperwork.
A swing by the range sounded really good.
"Oh, hey kids. Don't mind me. I'm just watching." Dark eyes scanned the table and the hardware. He pressed his lips together, bobbed his head in acknowledgment, and looked back at the gathering. The jockeying for position for not getting shot with the zat was amusing.. and it brought a tightlipped smirk to his face.
"Oh, Captain... just shoot someone. Not like it'll kill them." He paused, and deadpanned, "I... hope."

Methos didn't bother to hide his disappointment as Boone set the staff aside, and shifted his focus to the zat as it seemed to be what the crowd was interested in. Apparently he'd have to talk to Ron about the staff later. Methos could see however versatile the zat was it was strictly a hand held weapon. As soon as someone had taken their shot with it they'd be open. The staff was a fighting weapon whether or not you were using it to shoot at something. He listened while Boone talked about the zat, and the words, "There are, however, exceptions to the rule," caught his attention. Methos listened to, "Jaffa and Goa'uld often take three or four shots to stun," before he was ready to ask, "Are there other known exceptions?"
The corners of his mouth quirked up at O'Neill's call for Ron to just shoot someone. He couldn't help asking, "Are you volunteering to be the first shootie so we can see what getting shot looks like before we feel it?"

(Typical,) Ami thought as she looked around. The "boys" wanted to play with the alien toys, but didn't want to get a feel for what might happen if one of those toys was pointed at them. (Not that you'd want to test bullets or laser guns that way ...)
With a sigh, and more nerve than she thought she possessed, Ami held up her hand and stepped forward. "I'll do it."
A few eyebrows rose and a low murmur carried through the crowd, and she continued. "Isn't it safe to say that if our teams are going to be armed with these things, then so will any rogue Goa'uld or Jaffa, yeah? Might as well know what it'll feel like if they decide they want to take prisoners and not simply blast a hole into your mid-section."

A little smile is reserved here for Bobby, before Ron hefted a drink towards the first waiting hands. "There's a watery one, for Ami as she comes around, it's better she has that one, since it metabolises better."
Ron moved to Ianto, most newly stunned. Touching the young man''s cheek he proffered a faintly apologetic smile. "You did good. Here" he offered a bottle of orange juice.

He got himself presentable and slipped into a comfortable silence, taking in how Jack and Dr Pierson were reacting as well as Ami. He did walk closer to the table, albeit a bit shakily- though he'd never admit to it, and was looking over the other weapons, wondering what he'd have to do to get himself one.
