"I didn't even know you had a home, an actual home outside of Gatetown, Jack." Ami stepped onto the unfinished back deck attached to the single room cabin with a loft, a beer in one hand. "I don't think that anyone did."

It was early afternoon in early summer, and the weather was warm without being too hot. The breeze was cooling, without being too cold. All things said, it was a perfect summer afternoon. Normally Ami would have been spending such time with her boyfriend, but Captain Jack had requested her attendance, and that of all of her team, here today, stating that there were tactics and strategies to be reviewed.

So far, the tactics had included a brief tour of his private home and speculation on how the additional Gamma Teams would shape up.

"And that is why you're here," Jack said. He gave her his familiar charming smile and a cant of her head. "That's why everyone is here."

"For a housewarming?"

"No, to get to know each other. You didn't know that I have house. How much more don't we know about each other?" Jack folded his arms across his chest and looked down at her, "We're a team, GT-1. We should know each other more than just the people we go out into the field with. We need to develop that repotoire and not treat it as just another day at the office.

"It's not your fault," Jack looked away across the cleared land and the native woodlands. "It's mine and Captain Boone's. We should have done this a long time ago. That's why GT-2 has been invited as well."

"And what?" Ami inquired gently, "We all just sort of ... spill our deepest darkest secrets?"

Jack smirked at her. "Don't think you're off the hook just because you told us about your superpowers. But, that's not exactly what I had in mind. Never happens that way. No, this is about beer, food, and poker. Nothing has bigger, better bonding power. And," Jack gave her a wink, "It's fun."
