I think the Livejournal/ Dreamwidth sync weirdness meant that you weren't privy to the whole "SCA creeper mess" situation, but I think you'd be proud of me. Oh yes, dear, and this is partly why I don't bother with the SCA anymore. My first husband got me into it (and he is still very active and now has a high title, not of his own accord but because he too glommed on to the right couple who a few years after he and I split, won their crowns and of course, elevated everyone in their house) and I'm now realizing that us being together when we were was borderline pedo. So, I have nothing to do with the SCA anymore and that experience you had, well, I know far too many women who have experienced it and worse in those circles.
