Today I finished reading Harry Potter. I kept putting it off, but at long last I've finished it, and it warrants a post, I think. What a magnificent story. I haven't enjoyed reading anything that much in a long, long time... or, possibly, ever. I'm just sad it's over.

It was just SO GOOD. I feel so sad that it's finished, too, and I don't know what to do with myself now, either. I keep wishing there was more to read... *laugh* And I don't really feel like starting a new book/series because my brain is all stuck on Harry Potter. *sigh*

Did I hear rumours that JK Rowling intended to start a new/different series? I wonder if that is true....

I <3 you back totally.

*love*

You should check out the wizard rock genre. They keep Harry Potter going.

Here's one of the better bands:

Just click around their friends, they're all mostly wrockers.

WIZARD ROCK GENRE?? WROCKERS??? That is... that is insane. *boggled* I can't believe how far Harry Potter seems to have penetrated into everything.... ^__^ incredible, really.

..yep. And some of the stuff is GOOD. The Ministry of Magic, The Cursebreakers, and the Weasel King I all highly recommend.

*snicker snicker* Take that, Quebecers! Hehhhhh. The epilogue was fun, though I still have so many questions about his life after all the killing-voldemort excitement. *sigh* But such is the nature of stories ending. *sob* Such wonderful vivid characters, world-building, plot.... yes, it's very sad that it's over.

*lovelovelove*

*sigh* I wish I could speak French. I feel like a very inadequate Canadian being able to speak only English. Though there isn't much usage of French so far West here... *sigh* If I have room in my next year of schooling, I think I might take some French courses (perhaps I could pester you for help? *love*) I admire you so much for being able to speak Chinese (is it mandarin or cantonese?) and French AND English. ^_______^ It's so awesome.

*love* Feel free to ramble ANYTIME my dear. I'm certainly guilty of it, too. -___-;;; I hope you're well!

I only read the very 1st page and then I stopped. It's great that it didn't disappoint you, though ( ... )

My dear, how can you even attempt to judge a series of Harry Potter's prolific size based on the first page? That is just silly. I suggest you give it another go... a gazillion people world wide can't be wrong about this book. I highly, highly recommend it. I was not disappointed in the least-- and I have high standards for what I read. But Harry Potter is the most brilliant, enjoyable series I've ever read. And I've read my fair share, believe me. You are missing out!

Aww, but it is awful that you got sunburned. But perhaps our chat last time about how you always escape the horrendous pain/indignity of sunburns jinxed you? -____- (Though it may have been the humidity that did it? When I was in Japan it was muggy and humid and a little overcast and I got ROASTED as never before).

I've had better weeks, to be honest. *sigh* How was yours? (Other than the sunburn, of course!)

Hey, hey, now, what's with the threatening icon? Not cool. Sorry, but I stopped liking Harry Potter 2 books ago and now every time I try to reread any of them, I just can't. I hate Harry Potter. (sigh) I've been wanting to get that off my chest for a while. And I've always said that if I ever hit big like J.K. Rowling I would know I've done something wrong. I have high standards too and I don't think I'm missing out. Percy Jackson is the most brilliant, enjoyable series I'VE ever read. And just because a gazillion other people like a book doesn't mean I will. Don't hate me? I don't hate you because you like a book I hate. *shrug*

And you got roasted? So then it was the humidity... You've helped me solved the riddle! Note: humidity = bad.

O_O You hate me now, don't you? *headdesk* I'm sorry! I kind of said the last part of the 1st paragraph in a weird way but it's not like that! Not a threat, I mean! >_< Don't hate me, please! >_o;;;
