Today I finished reading Harry Potter. I kept putting it off, but at long last I've finished it, and it warrants a post, I think. What a magnificent story. I haven't enjoyed reading anything that much in a long, long time... or, possibly, ever. I'm just sad it's over.

I only read the very 1st page and then I stopped. It's great that it didn't disappoint you, though ( ... )

My dear, how can you even attempt to judge a series of Harry Potter's prolific size based on the first page? That is just silly. I suggest you give it another go... a gazillion people world wide can't be wrong about this book. I highly, highly recommend it. I was not disappointed in the least-- and I have high standards for what I read. But Harry Potter is the most brilliant, enjoyable series I've ever read. And I've read my fair share, believe me. You are missing out!

Aww, but it is awful that you got sunburned. But perhaps our chat last time about how you always escape the horrendous pain/indignity of sunburns jinxed you? -____- (Though it may have been the humidity that did it? When I was in Japan it was muggy and humid and a little overcast and I got ROASTED as never before).

I've had better weeks, to be honest. *sigh* How was yours? (Other than the sunburn, of course!)

Hey, hey, now, what's with the threatening icon? Not cool. Sorry, but I stopped liking Harry Potter 2 books ago and now every time I try to reread any of them, I just can't. I hate Harry Potter. (sigh) I've been wanting to get that off my chest for a while. And I've always said that if I ever hit big like J.K. Rowling I would know I've done something wrong. I have high standards too and I don't think I'm missing out. Percy Jackson is the most brilliant, enjoyable series I'VE ever read. And just because a gazillion other people like a book doesn't mean I will. Don't hate me? I don't hate you because you like a book I hate. *shrug*

And you got roasted? So then it was the humidity... You've helped me solved the riddle! Note: humidity = bad.

O_O You hate me now, don't you? *headdesk* I'm sorry! I kind of said the last part of the 1st paragraph in a weird way but it's not like that! Not a threat, I mean! >_< Don't hate me, please! >_o;;;

*laugh* Of course I don't hate you! I just had a busy busy weekend. *love* And that icon is a source of endless amusement for me, though mostly used in jest. Heh heh.

Ahh, I still maintain that Harry Potter is the best thing ever. But now I am reading the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik, which is quite good and involves Dragons. And is also rather similar to the Horatio Hornblower books I was obsessed with some years back... it's interesting reading but damn I wish there were more Potter books. And dragon stories are always a danger for me, too. Arrrrrgh. *ramble*

*love* I'm sorry if I had you worried! And that my last comment may have seemed a bit Sharp. It's awfully hard to convey things with text alone. *sigh* Especially things like teasing/jesting/sarcasm. Oooh well.

I hear you've been reunited with biking? That's very good. I love to bike... I hope you didn't meet with any misadventures? ^_________^;;
