So, M's grandmother got us a big pot several weeks ago because I complained we had nothing to cook pasta in. Shefound this one with an insert, so I could just the pasta out, and the water would strain right back into the pot. Tonight we're making lasagna, which is a perfect time to use a big pot, and out she comes. I fill it with water, and put it ( Read more... )

Get a good one.

I'm serious. Calphalon One. All-Clad. Le Creuset. Spend the money, man. Because the cheap ones won't make full contact with the cooktop and everything takes longer and it's annoying.

What you were given was a blanching pot, it's for quickly cooking veggies before freezing.. You may of had too much water in it... I agree though, spend the money to get what you want.

Hi, I finally bounced here from melted_snowball's blog. Which probably should have occurred to me a long time ago, but.... hi! :) I live in Denver and know melted_snowball via dr_tectonic. You may have heard that my son went through a phase where he referred to his "Uncle Danny." Anywho, there's context for moi.
