What if science can provide a cure for aging?

Oooo, this is the sort of stuff I'm excited to see in movie sci-fi. Looking forward to it, thanks for the heads up!

I thought Repo! was quite a good take on the idea, and the Jude Law version even brought a global perspective with the immigrant characters.

I like the way the I'm.mortal looks and the idea but the cast doesn't look very good to me.

I'm going to google Jared Harris now..*sighs*

It's Timberlake that I'm not thrilled about. I have yet to see him play anything like a genuine human being.

Jared is marvellous. And what a voice...

Teen Highsmith ought to be banned under some sort of law.

By the way, I watched "The American Friend" the other day, which is adapted from Ripley's Game. Have you seen it? Superior to the Malcovich version, but that's not hard.

I haven't, although I have seen the Alain Delon version, Purple Noon, which is gorgeous, but not Highsmith.

Plein Soleil is a beautiful film and I almost prefer its cinematic ending to the book's. It's a shame no one can nail Ripley's Game, as it's my favourite of the books, I think.

I Am Number Four also sounds like The Star Group by Christopher Pike, hahaha.

I was a Pike NUT in junior school (The Last Vampire, especially). Ahh, good times.

Speaking of Gattaca, there's been an article on CNet this week about the Marin County Civic Center, with a lot of pictures. Maybe you'd like to have a look.

Thank you!

I was just in Canberra over the weekend, which is a city totally designed by an architect who worked for FLW. Really amazing and odd, to see the Prairie School transplanted into the middle of the Australian bush.

I knew that Canberra was "designed" but I don't think I have heard the name Walter Burley Griffin before. Thanks!

For another round of link ping-pong, a picture of a film location I posted recently from a movie I think you like.
