Teaser trailer for I Am Number Four, directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) based on the book by James Frey about nine aliens who are in disguise as human teenagers on Earth, hiding from a hostile species that destroyed their home planet. When three are killed, Number Four realises that their enemy has followed them to earth and are hunting them down. It stars Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, Callan McAuliffe and Jake Abel.
Remember Gattaca writer/director Andrew Niccol? His current project is another sci-fi drama, I'm.mortal, centred on the provocative question: What if science can provide a cure for aging?
In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'.
The cast looks pretty good so far, with Justin Timberlake in the male lead, Amanda Seyfried as his hostage/partner on the run, Vincent Kartheiser as the girl's father, and Cillian Murphy as Timekeeper Leon. (Screenrant)

Slingshot Productions and BBC Films want to do a teen movie based on Strangers on a Train - which, before it was a Hitchcock movie, was a novel by Patricia Highsmith about two men who meet on a train, get to know each other, and agree to conspire in "the perfect murder". In Slingshot's version, "boy meets girl, girl turns out to be a raving psychopath..." DO NOT WANT. (Deadline)
