Going through the f-list this morning, I've read at least five separate posts exclaiming about the last night's snow (some with lovely photos ( Read more... )

Eeeee, heat and sunshine. \o/ (I'm definitely sunshine-deprived). It's finally thawing around here, but judging by the way the weather has been behaving, I doubt there will be a decent spring until Easter.

I'm going to miss our blindingly sunny days and sudden thunderstorms when I go to China. :)

I have nooo idea where my bikini is. I've been searching all afternoon (well, since 3). May have to go find one tomorrow morning.

I HATE THAT YOU'RE LEAVING. Even though it is simultaneously an awesome thing. :)

I found mine in a bottom drawer with my old sarongs and the CREEPY porcelain doll that I can't look at because it gives me nightmares.

I started packing today. TOO MANY CLOTHES.

I give in! It's been eaten by the monster under my bed. I'll go tomorrow morning to Westfield and just grab something normal.

Argh. Always the hardest decisions if you have to leave something behind. Are you going to be buying bulkier items over there, or is someone sending things along after you?

Most of my winter clothes is already over there - I didn't bother bringing it back in December. So most of my luggage this time is books, toiletries, underwear, and shoes. I'm packing a separate suitcase with my summer clothes for John to bring over with him when he goes to Shanghai in April or May. Hardly seems worth the bother, when I'm just going to come back a few months after that. *sigh*

Well it's been cold enough that there's still heaps of snow left from last week, but it's icy and slippery. In the hills, snow's still falling. I went skiing on the weekend, and we followed a tiny, barely used trail in the woods where it was at least 1 metre of powder. Really hard to get up if you fall over in it, but still fun :)
