Full season SCC makes me SOOOO happy! I've been holding off watching the most recent ep because part of me was like "it may be one of my last eps eva! wait and savor!" But now I can watch.

OMG YAY SARAH AND DEREK AND JOHN AND HIS ROBOT GIRLFRIEND!!!

*dances*

It is TOO GOOD to be cancelled. Maybe Fox has finally learnt its lesson.

I am reminded of a line in Generation Kill where Kocher says something to the effect of "Do you really think calling off one fucked up mission constitutes a change in strategy?"

OTOH, YAY MORE DEREK REESE!!!

Brad Pitt + ancient Greeks is... not my favorite combination. I hope he just produces, and doesn't install himself as spacefarer!Odysseus. :p

But! I am really looking forward to Push. Don't compare it to Jumper, that shit still gives me hives. ;) At least this one has a Chris Evans, an increasingly Gemma Ward-like Dakota Fanning, and Camilla Belle's eyebrows. Vast improvement over Hayden whatshisface, surely.

I think the Jumper comparison is inevitable because a) exotic location, check; b) young white persons with paranormal abilities on the run, check; c) black dude working for creepy organisation hunting them, check. But the cast is an improvement on every level, except Jamie Bell, who > everyone. Chris Evans is fast turning into an Actor To Watch for me.

I don't see how they're going to keep Pitt out of it. Maybe he can play, I don't know, Poseidon, rather than the lead?

While we're talking about casting though, I've been wanting to see Alex Wyndham getting more roles ever since he caught my attention in The Line of Beauty and Rome. He has such an unusual, period face - kind of exactly how I imagine Hermes to look.

DJIMON, why Djimon why, but-- at least his Maya-like-ink-eyes-of-death...thing is better than Sam Jackson's silver goatee? ;)

I just-- I have a hard time buying Brad Pitt as a dramatic actor in a historical. It seems like he just clenches his finely-sculpted jaws and tosses his hair a lot. Not that I don't believe he's an intelligent, educated guy -- but, I don't know. His facial muscles aren't effective -- at least for me. But maybe the space thing will be better. Has he ever done scifi?

Alex Wyndham as Hermes works for me! Ooh, and a post back, you mentioned Paul Bettany as Loki -- that's BRILLIANT.

Huh, not a lot of Greco-Roman gods in movies these days. Seems a wasted opportunity. I mean, look how far Hercules and Xena ran with that. God I loved those shows.

Yeah, I actually like how almost off-hand the inky eyes are. I mean, it kind of makes sense that a mental ability would be subtle, you know? None of that clenching and obvious signaling of your powers.

Bettany would be so much fun as Loki. I'm...getting shivers just thinking about it. :) Does Artemis appear in the Odyssey? Because I think she could totally rock the stereotype and make an awesome virgin huntress.
