Nooooooooo! Is right at first I didn't like him but now I love him and they are going to take him away. How sad I hope they don't go on a killing spree and kill off any more good Heroes >

The show just doesn't know what to do with him, except pit in him in comedic exchanges with the increasingly tiresome Hiro. I'm infuriated. 400 years, and reduced to this?

Heroes has this habit (and maybe I just don't read enough comics, but I'm sick of it). It sets up these "Big Bads", each supposedly more frightening and powerful than the one before, and then. It doesn't know what to do with them.

That's a big frustration for me. I like comic-style narratives, but the villains have to actually matter- it can't be that only the heroic actions drive the plot, only the heroic actions have long-range effects. Occasionally, the actions of the villains have to be game-changing, or else it's just Superman punching out human bank robbers.

I think comics (I'm a Marvel reader, mostly) do that very well. They set up big bads and run with them to a much greater extent. In a comic, we would have already had a season set in post-apocalyptic New York.

That would have been awesome. :)

And there's only so much you can blame it on a TV budget. Cut down your cast! Plan ahead! And for god's sake, stop it with all the time-travelling!

(Emphasis on "plan ahead". I think that's the source of the majority of the show's issues.)

Watching him in this episode was both wonderful and terribly frustrating. I loved how he quickly assessed his position and tricked Hiro into the knockout punch; like we've talked about before, Adam's powers aren't very aggressive in nature, but his wits will always be his weapon.

But I hated that we never got to deal with the fact that, oh yeah, Hiro buried a man alive! The decision to make Adam look so neat and unruffled in his coffin, I thought was a total cop out. It's like they want us to go, "It wasn't that bad for the guy, look, he's just sleeping. Hiro didn't do anything bad."

Adam had better have some scenes with characters I can take seriously. Hiro is just a total joke, at this point.

If it's true, then from this point on, canon is well and truly dead to me. Bring on the AUs indeed. They're more consistent.

I think David Anders pulled it off, but this episode was so damn full of bad writing... I wish they'd just take their characters seriously for once. Adam is worth so much more, dammit.

Irritated by how unaffected by being buried alive he was as well, unless he's really just that good at covering and they're still planning on doing something with it next episode. I doubt it, though.

Agree with that completely. I'm so tired of being disappointed with canon. I was writing Kensei before he appeared on the show; I'll continue writing him when he goes.
