*lol* The cynical me wants to say "Gee, Ellen, typecasting much?" but the Jane Eyre fan me is going "ooooooooooohhhhhh that's BRILLIANT!!"

I've never really seen a bad acting of Jane. It all hinges on who they cast as Rochester, right? I was so torn about the William Hurt version cos personality-wise he's puuuuurrrfect but argh the blonde was sooooooooooo wrong. *sob*

William Hurt had such a perfect voice for Rochester, and I think Gainsbourg is probably my favourite Jane.

Thing about Ellen is that she looks so young. Who could you cast opposite her that would be right?

Totally. I think my favourite Jane so far has been Zelah Clarke ... Charlotte was good but just a little too pretty and too tall. Ellen, if they don't put too much make up on her and wash the roses out of her cheeks, could well be just right physically and god knows she could act the character perfect.

As long as they don't give it the Keira/Macfayden treatment, it could be excellent. *crosses fingers*

Who would I cast opposite her? I'm still mulling that. Someone not good looking, someone dark obviously ... someone like Mark Ruffalo, that sort of homely with possibilities look ... it's a difficult one, definitely. I'll think about it some more.
