It's raining, and the sound is incredibly beautiful, the pitter-patter on corrugated roofing over Puccini on my radio. Not least because it means that I won't have to go around with a watering can reviving the plants tomorrow.

While you were enjoying that nice pitter-patter over there, I was suffering through driving rain on the way home in my father's 4WD with NO VISIBILITY because the rain was that hard.

Of course, it stopped as soon as I was home. The weather is trying to kill me.

On a moderately-related note: I don't like those government ads that tell us we can reach deeper reserves if we have to. Isn't that kind of encouraging lax behaviour, re: water conservation? Ugh! I need a break from all this. And I have a hugely irrational hate-on for our farmers on some days.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!

Huh. Sound of fireworks in the distance. I'd completely forgotten that it's Australia Day.

What's really bugging me is how the federal opposition leader is trying to make everything personal. Yes, WE KNOW who the fuck you are and all the great ideas you have, stop it with the fucking self publicising and ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING.
