I've yet to read the book or watch the miniseries, so I can't say that I have any trepidation about this new adaptation of Brideshead Revisited. Jude Law has been grating on my nerves lately, though.

That Becoming Jane trailer's voiceover made my ears bleed.

Me too, although I don't know whether it's just him so many as how he's been working so much with Minghella late, a director that I pretty much detest.

Isn't it just painful? *shudders*

Minghella ruined Cold Mountain for me, and I know his Talented Mr. Ripley probably didn't please you much, to say the least. We are united in our disgust!

"fun and interesting" sums up the roundtable pretty well. Thanks for the link!
As usual, let me know if you need downloadable links for any of the video parts.

I loved all the good-hearted joking and poking fun at one another and themselves. :)

The link would be lovely! Thank you.

If you liked Scorsese's The Departed, you're in luck: it may well become a trilogy.

They're really out to demolish the original Infernal Affairs, aren't they?

I'm not surprised that Christopher Doyle was pissed.

"The film will be a very different take to the TV series," said Rae. "It will be about Charles Ryder's passion and love for Julia rather than his relationship with Sebastian."

What does this mean? That they can't find anyone to top the iconic gayness of Anthony Andrews? And ugh more spurious Princess Di comparisons. This could become the Godwin's Law of our time.

*curious* Really? That's the first I've heard in a long time, but I guess you must get it more often in the UK.

More's the fool them who try. ;)

I'm not in the UK anymore!

Maybe you're right, she's still not invoked as often as Hitler. Maybe the similarity is that every time Princess Di is mentioned, it seems to either be irrelevant or in bad taste.

Weren't you supposed to be in Australia 'round about now? *poke*

What - but - no!

Okay, so it shouldn't be a surprised, but I can't but be woe-y at the fact that Paul and Jude won't happen. Paul, and Jude. It would have been something. Why have they still not acted together?

That said, I'm all for Jude and Jamie, so. *grins*

I'd give my left ear to see Paul and Jennifer acting opposite one another.

Jude could play the bored aristocrat to perfection...

I'm quite fond of both my ears, but I would love it. And Jude absolutely can, it's like he was born for it.
