If I had to be honest, I'd say that I'm just burned out right now. I'm tired, I don't want to go to class. I don't even want to leave the house. I enjoy just sitting on my bed, translating (ignore the fact that I haven't even finished the prologue yet), playing Pokemon, watching the same episodes of anime on TV. Apparently the only way I've ( Read more... )

When you get your letters, please let me know so I know whether or not the office should be expecting a bunch of returns.
I got mine on Saturday! :D I haven't been on LJ much in the past two days so I haven't had time to write up a proper entry squee-ing over it yet but I will be XD

Oh, no problem! Thanks for letting me know though - I just want to know in advance if letters didn't go through, and I'll have to send out another 30 or whatever again :D

This could have been me writing this. I think a lot of people (especially in our age group) fear, or at least get a little bit intimidated with dealing with the things, or making the kind of life decisions that only 10 years ago we would relegate solely to people living in that mysterious adult world.

Even though these are all exciting and scary things we need to deal with, you are right, its just as important to take a step back, gain some perspective, and relax a bit.

I hope the rest of your time in Japan is as enjoyable as possible, it certainly is a great country to be in when looking for relaxation. Looking at your schedule, if I am in Japan when you are, its going to probably be when you are in Tokyo. Well thats if I can afford to go to Japan at all on my Summer travels. (although that is edging closer to one of those "big people" issues, so I will leave it there.) :p

I think... I don't know. I think that we're getting a lot of concern because everything looks bad right now, and so the problems that once were okay to take slowly are now piling up if we take things slow. Like, if we don't do it now, it'll be gone. And yeah, maybe that's true, but even so we're all only going to live once and so it doesn't make sense to rush it.

Ah, well. I have 3+ hours of class every day, so it's not quite as relaxing as I would like. And by the time I don't have class, I'm going to be trying to cram in as much sightseeing and playing with family and friends as I can.

If you do manage to get to Japan while I'm in Tokyo, let me know! I'll find a way to fit you in, or you can stay with me/hang out with me and my friends if you want.

Yeah :) One day at a time... me, I'm still trying to even get to start thinking about Adult Problems. It just. Ugh. I just don't want to *think* about it and apply myself on those matters you know? :(

How was Tanabata for you? How'd it go?

It's easy once you start, but it's the starting that's hard, and then keeping up with everything. I'm not a big fan of it either, and it's. So much harder when I'm far away from the matters that I need to deal with.

Tanabata was kind of lame. It's not a big deal in Hokkaido, and my family doesn't have kids, so I watched kids walk around, and a handful came to the house, but they were kind of scared of us because we spoke English and my host father was trying to get them to practice English XD
