My week has continued to be wobbly, but wobbly in that way that reminds me how lucky I am that there is such a huge margin between "inconvenience" and "crisis" in my life right now. Having things go wrong without it being anything like a disaster is really its own kind of blessing.

On the computer: ( Cut for tl;dr -- the short version is, it's in the shop, word on what's wrong and if my warranty covers it to follow, and in the meantime a friend's loaned me a laptop to use. )

AppleCare has come through for me and a lot of other people, it really isn't like the skeezy warranties. Good luck to you!

Not sure what charitable things you're up to these days, but if you're of a mind to do Habitat, they're just kicking off a Pride Build project...not sure of details but I can let you know if you're into it.
