I think it's interesting. And Middlesex - I don't know what you think of the book, but I think maybe it helped bring this sort of thing more to The Public View and all that. Good article.

I love Middlesex--cultural significance aside, it's just such a gorgeous piece of fiction. It didn't occur to me that its publication might've had an impact, but you well could be right.

Thanks for the link. A good read.

Oh, I finally finished Read My Lips. Turns out I only had 1 chapter left for months and just didn't realize it because of the appendices at the end. Reading that NY times article made me realize how reading Read My Lips really helped me to break down some prejudices I had had without even realizing it.
