Greenery Hat (pattern, and alternations)

I was looking for a new knitting pattern a few days ago.  I decided that the scarf that I had been working on was boring as hell, and that I would give up on it for a little while (the same with the mitts).  They are both a "double fabric" patterns, so every other stitch is a purl on the opposite side.  Basically you get knit on both sides, while ( Read more... )

it is quite tight fitting to my head, so it will be nice when it is cool, but not freezing out.

It is actually a lot less blue, and more purple in real life. I guess that's what I get trying to take pics at 11 pm.

I really like the whole blue/purple combination. So still love your colour choice. lol I think it's neat that you can make your own, my mom has started making blankets and shalls and stuff. I just don't have the patience for it. I'm not so great at multi-tasking either so I wouldn't even be able to work on it while watching tv. I get too absorbed in what I'm watching lol. oh well. I guess I'll just have to buy mine. or beg my mom to try making hats next lol.

I hope you get a lot of use out of yours. :)

I tend to watch stuff that I've seen a million times before when I'm knitting, or a show that I am very familiar with (because I don't look up to the tv/computer very much). I just like having background noise, It could be music for all I care.

I don't have the patience for much in the way of shawls. I love them, and I have a whole mountain of them that Mum made, but making them myself doesn't happen often.

Right now I'm working on squares (rectangles?) that I'm going to sew together for a blanket. Each square isn't too big, so it feels like I am actually accomplishing something when I finish. I'm probably going to end up with a knitted patchwork blanket, at least it is clearing out my scrap yarn bin.

Hats are awesome to make when you have to go to the Doctor's office or something. They don't take up a ton of room in a bag, and they are easy enough you don't have to focus completely on them. Not to mention warm and cosy!
