The best thing was that I actually got to write some fic! I haven't done that in weeks.
Yay for fic writing! Any idea how soon we can look forward to reading it? Is it fluffy or darker?
I've been writing like a fiend, too, at least compared to my normmal pace...which is a good bit of the reason I've been so quiet, at least since the tummy bug went away. Although, I swear, I should never be allowed to say I hate ANYTHING in fic because next thing you know, I'll be writing it. *sigh*
But while I'll surely get that knot untied at some point, people being deliberately unhelpful when they really shouldn't be is just the surest way to drive me up the wall.
Blech, I hate that. Some little ego/power trip thing to make other people frustrated. I know you'll get through it, though. *comforts*

I thought so...way back when, the subject came up, and you said that you did not like stories where Sirius was upset about his family...
I think it was after I wrote Power of Suggestion, and you said something to the effect that you were glad Sirius blew off his cousins, and from there we got into the subject more deeply.
You were just awfully quiet about it, so I assumed (heh, yeah, I know) that it did fall clearly under the category you'd mentioned you disliked.
(And while I am here, *g* I'm not ignoring the email about the links/archive/etc., I have a little germ of an idea and there's something I want to check out but haven't had time.)

I'd like to re-read that. I do remember a discussion about Sirius and his family at some point, but I don't remember saying that I don't buy him having problems with his family. I mean, it's clearly canon that he had. There are some stereotypes in fanon (R/S in particular) that I don't like about it, such as the assumption that what made Sirius run away in the end was the fact that his parents found out about him and Remus... but other than that, well, who am I to dislike a concept that's obviously canonical, and apart from that makes for great angsty fic? Sirius only began to make sense to me as a character after I'd heard about his family background in OotP...
