I'm sure that, like myself, most all of you are still reeling over the tragedy at Fort Hood yesterday. It really hit me hard because that base is a very important part of my past. I've visited it because it was where my father was stationed when he met my mom. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this horrible event. We'll

everything i've read so far about that incident has been pretty straightforward: guy is in the army, decides he doesn't want to go to Iraq, goes nuts.

it might have been easier to simply go AWOL, but i guess he figured that wasn't an option.
