Where Have All The Soldiers Gone ...

Nov 06, 2009 10:09

I'm sure that, like myself, most all of you are still reeling over the tragedy at Fort Hood yesterday. It really hit me hard because that base is a very important part of my past. I've visited it because it was where my father was stationed when he met my mom. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this horrible event. We'll never know for sure exactly what happened but hopefully we can figure out some of what led up to this and try to prevent it from happening in the future.

Now, in more banal news, here's what's happening in my life. Tonight is the Whoosier Network meeting. Tomorrow should have been the CoJ meeting but the church that we meet at bumped us without letting us know so we are having to change our meeting to next week. This is good in that it makes it much easier for us to see local theater. Tomorrow night we're seeing In Bed with Chuck and Lois" at TotS and Sunday we will be seeing "The Elephant Man" at the Civic.

Not too much else going on in my life. I'm still kicking ass and taking names in my tax class. Also, we're preparing for Veteran's Day next week because there's a hell of a lot more places jumping on the free meal for veterans bandwagon this year.

So, that's what's going on with my life. I hope you're all doing well yourselves. I will talk to you again soon.

TTFN!
