I have been meaning to post about this since it happened but have forgotten. Friday afternoon after I got home from work we decided to go out for a nice dinner. "We did finally get around to watching the pilot episode of "The Mentalist" and it's a really great show. Of course, I loved it when it first debuted as a comedy and was called "Psych". Even so, I like the overall storyline and the characters are really engaging. I think this one is going to be a winner."

Hahahaha. I do agree though, seriously. I find it to be a mix of Psych and that show, Life, on NBC.

So about this lesbian bible study. So what is the deal there? Only lesbians can go? Been wondering for some time and finally thought I would ask.

I'm assuming it is different then the average bible study.. because you specifically preface it with lesbian.

It's not strictly for lesbians. beldar attends as well. However, except for him and myself (I'm bi), all of the other attendees are lesbians.

It's really just known as Monday night Oasis but I got to calling it Lesbian Bible Study when we were attending the Mindstretcher Oasis (the makeup was pretty much like this one, all lesbians beldar & me).

I just feel that saying Lesbian Bible Study is more acurate than having to explain the Oasis system at our church each time I refer to the class.

So now I'm curious about the Oasis system! 8)

If you don't want to explain, that is ok. Do you have a link you can post and I can go read about it. Or is it better to be explained by a participant?

The Oasis system is to ensure continued membership and participation in church. Pretty much everyone who attends is part of a Ministry Team. Both beldar & I am on the Found Pearl team (publishing ministry) and he is also on the Hospitality team (serving refreshments after services) while I am also on the Theater team (new, but we're going to work on putting on productions and adding acting portions to the sermons ( ... )

I caught the Mentalist too. I think it looks really good. Creepy about him staying in the same house where his family was killed... and sleeping under the bloody smiley face... whoe!
