I have been meaning to post about this since it happened but have forgotten. Friday afternoon after I got home from work we decided to go out for a nice dinner. We went to MCL (a local cafeteria-style restaurant). When we got out of the car to go in, beldar went to put his key in the lock to lock the driver's side door when he noticed that there was just a great big hole there. Obviously, after I had unlocked the door at work the lock mechanism fell inside the door frame. I doubt it was car thieves because if they did at our house prior to our leaving, our windows were open and they could just opened the door and taken the car (it's a very nice and safe neighborhood). We haven't been able to fix the lock yet but will soon. It's just strange to look at that black circle of emptiness.

Speaking of forgotten things, yesterday beldar reminded me of something that I planned to post but had forgotten about and I have once again forgotten about it. If he would somehow remind me, I will post it later.

Well, it really looks like we're going to switch over to AT&T. We can actually get more tv channels, a 4 channel DVR, wireless internet and our phone included all for the same price as we're paying now for phone & cable. Plus, as soon as our cell phone contract runs out, we can bundle it up in the bill and maybe get a plan that includes voicemail & texting.

Yesterday afternoon beldar was late coming home from work so we missed lesbian bible study. However, the day was so pretty that I spent some time on the porch petting the neighbor cats. I finally found the "sweet spot" on Pierce (the solid white cat) and he was very happy. He's still very shy around people in general but since I give him good pettins, he will actually come to me now.

We did finally get around to watching the pilot episode of "The Mentalist" and it's a really great show. Of course, I loved it when it first debuted as a comedy and was called "Psych". Even so, I like the overall storyline and the characters are really engaging. I think this one is going to be a winner.

Not much else to say right now. My analysis of the debates yesterday got metaquoted and has some good commentary and wonderful iconage in the comments.
