I just have to post this. I am entering invoices and this one comes up for a public utility company. The thing is that their logo is the letters PUD (really huge). This is funny and slightly disturbing at the same time.

The weekend was interesting. Friday night I was restless and wanting to go out and do something but couldn't find anyone to do anything with so I stayed home and watched the debate. It was very interesting. I basically boiled it all down to this: Obama is your Father and McCain is your slightly senile Grandpa. Obama was stating policy and priorities (we're going to clean that room and the garage and no video games until it's done) and McCain was telling stories and attacking Obama without answering the questions(Get off my lawn! In my day, we didn't have lawns. You kids don't know what you're talking about). The main thing I noticed however, is that Obama appears to have aged at least twenty years in the past 6 months. When he gets out of the White House, he's going to look at least 80.

Saturday was good. We did some cleaning and organizing but not as much as I would have liked as I was in a lot of pain and couldn't do much. However, we did get the laundry done and watched some stuff on the DVR. As for that, a few observations:

First of all, I squeed with delight upon discovering that Robert Joy finally made the opening credits of "CSI:New York". That makes me so very happy. We got all caught up on "Primevil" and I'm not sure if I like the turn the past two episodes have taken. I did enjoy the raptors however and am glad that the young geek has a love interest. "Criminal Minds" has not skipped a beat. They hit the ground running so hard I thought I was watching a Summer Action flick. This year's "Survivor" cast looks somewhat intriguing. The Yellow tribe is kicking so much butt that unless they mix things up they will be entire by the merge. I was impressed with the other tribe's ingenuity at making their own fishing gear out of what they had around.

We also did catch bits & pieces of some of the NFL games especially the Tampa Bay game. You really couldn't help but root for the Bucs with their kicker playing after losing his son on Wednesday. He was constantly fighting back tears and it was good that his kick won the game.

As for theater, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" was really a ball. The cast was working the room from the moment you got there and since the audience that night was mostly friends & family, it was really fun. The show went well with us voting for Princess Puffer as the murderer (the least likely candidate in my opinion), Bazzard as the detective (he had a HUGE fan base in the audience) and the brother & sister as the lovers (sick and incestuous but very funny). It was a really fun evening for all involved.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see "Kitty, Kitty, Kitty" on Sunday. We showed up early and waited until 5-10 minutes after show time but the theater remained locked and there was no sign or message on the door. It's a shame the show didn't happen as there was a decent audience of almost a dozen people there.

Not much else to say for now. I hope everyone out there had a great weekend. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's projected cold snap.
