First of all, I'd like to welcome all of my new friends to this journal. I think they all came here as a result of beldar's friending frenzy after our run in the LJ Idol contest.

So without further ado, a big welcome to bettybaker, dydan, goddess_of_art, namfle, spydielives, genesisdesire & kidnebulous. I hope you all enjoy what I write and have a great time here.

And on a serious note...

Homelessness suck indeed. Sleeping in trees and on benches sucked, not knowing where I was going to go suck, fighting just to survive sucked.

Although I do mis-represent a bit. When I was sleeping in trees and benches, techically I had a home, I was just too emotionally unstable to want to be there those nights. And when the rug was yoinked out from beneath me (I was clinically depressed, and it was by my mother and not future spouse, but it's in the same ballpark as "uber-bad" as yours), I had enough friends and supporters that people went out of their way to make sure I had a place to stay. Only, it was a day to day thing. I never knew where I was going to end up until I moved in with my son's mother, more than a year later.

I'm glad you found a soft place to land after you were pushed over the edge.
