Weekend update time. Friday afternoon I had my mammogram. It seemed to go quite well. They all got a kick out of the shirt I wore to celebrate the fact. That evening we went to the Symphony on the Prairie. The show was great. They shortened it a bit since rain was coming but the weather stayed nice and the rain waited until halfway through the very ( Read more... )

I didn't think they did much to make the first Final Destination interesting, but I was probably spoiled from having watched the second one first. The second one did more with the "observable signs of impending death" angle, while the "signs" in the first were all just the main character having visions of the future. And the "order of intended death" thing was pretty lame in the first because they all blew up. Still more comedy/splatterfest than horror, but that may have been the intention. It worked well enough for Gremlins.

I've done the sleep study thing, it's not bad. The place I went to was really comfortable, had a TV and everything. The wires are a bit annoying, and I ended up doing the kind of mask that goes under your nose as opposed to the one that goes over your entire mouth and nose. That felt too claustrophobic to me.
I ended up getting the CPAP machine, and it has improved my quality of life greatly.

Len & I saw the first Final Destination in the $1 theater way back when and giggled through most of it.

Never got around to seeing either sequel.

After No. 3 comes out on Tuesday, watch the DVD with friends, and play with the "choose their fate" feature. It's campy splatterfest fun. (And a couple of the victims you really WANT to die!) But have Alex elsewhere, lest you want to enhance his language or have him learn that the "one-finger salute" is funny.

Hee hee, that shirt is great!

...aw dang, I've been to that website before, and each time I barely manage to escape before I buy half their stock. Can I escape again?
