I think the fact you girls chose Prussia to narrate the story instead of any of them made a lot less tense then it would've been otherwise... What was the name again? Bathos!

Bathos, fuck yes! Way to remember that lecture from your English teacher! *high fives* I sure as hell didn't.

But yeah, Prussia really lets the tension out of their confrontation. For the reader, at least. I think Russia and America didn't really appreciate having a peanut gallery when things got personal. Pyrrhic and I both loved having people there to react to the boys' posturing, though. XD

Well then you best mind her, missy! She's the brains of this operation, after all. XD

First, Prussia is officially the best narrator ever.

Also, Russia ain't exactly sure how to deal with "I'm angry at you but don't want you to actually be obliterated," is he?

Also, America, just being so . . . America. Yeesh. <3

Also, Germany breaks my heart into little tiny pieces.

In conclusion, I totally adore you guys.

Nope. XD I think that on some level, he's afraid of America lapsing into indifference. He'd rather America hate him with every bone in his body than forget about him.

I guess, on some level, I can see where he's coming from with that, though I can't imagine it's the healthiest view.

I knooow. I'm all, "Has it been long enough since the war that I can start feeling sorry for Germany without feeling like a Nazi sympathizer, yet?"

God, I know, right? XD If I had had Hetalia in high school, things would have been so much easier.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the fics! And the ship! And the angst. More to come on that front, oh yes.

*first comment after finally catching up with this DX*

I’ve to say what everyone has said in their comments… This Prussia is amazing~ I mean, not only that, the little moment he has with Germany was really touching and their separate interactions were very well implanted.

Gagh, this timeline has made me fall in love with this couple even more ♥~

Prussia wins award for best TCE narrator EVER.

Yet another awesome chapter that is beyond my capability to make a coherent comment on.

But for some reason, Russia and America's bitching took a back seat to poor Germany and Prussia in my mind. I know they tired to fuck the world over, but the allies fucked them over pretty damn hard. =|

APPROPRIATE ICON IS APPROPRIATE.

Well, the thing is, they had it coming. But that doesn't mean it didn't suck for them, and it doesn't mean we shouldn't be capable of empathizing with their situation, even though they brought it on themselves.

In a way, I don't really think of Russia and America as the main characters of this post at all, even though they did almost all the talking--they're not talking about anything important. Showdowns like this happen between them like every other week. It's about Prussia and Germany, getting railroaded and shoved off to the side, and America's doing it just as much as Russia, albeit in a much less heavy-handed way. America and Russia are talking about Prussia and Germany, but Prussia and Germany themselves are not important to the conversation. The only thing that matters is how Prussia and Germany can help America and Russia's ( ... )
