When the elevator doors open, Starfire peeks left, then right, before tiptoeing her way out as quietly as she can when she's sure the coast is as clear as it's going to get. She whistles, attempting to appear as casual as she's able... given the circumstances. It doesn't dawn on her that maybe the fact that she is wrapped from head-to-toe in a ( Read more... )

"Kory!" Bart said, bouncing over her way. "Korykorykory!"

It didn't really matter that she wasn't really his Kory, but it was really, really, really cool that she was here. Racing over, he flung his arms around her legs.

"Um. Hello." Starfire glances down at the boy, confused, but glad that she at least had not managed to send a second one running in the other direction.

"... Bart?" She asks, unsure of the assessment at first, but if she had suddenly woken up big, then it was possible that others had woken up small. "Bart! A very tiny and clingy Bart. What has happened?!"

"Dunno," Bart said helpfully. "Everybody says sometimes the island does stuff. 'N people keep saying I hafta be with grown-ups. You're big now. You look like Starfire from home."

Well, this was an interesting scene to walk in on. Helena had come down to try and convince the box to give her something better than the too-big t-shirt she was wearing now, but apparently it was busy torturing someone else. With a Batman sweater, no less. She eyed the logo, giving the woman wearing it a grimace of mixed sympathy and distaste. “Nice.”

Picking up one of the scraps of purple fabric from the floor, her grimace turned into a low whistle. “I can see why you picked that over these, though. Damn.” It didn't look like it would cover much more than Fire's fire did, and that was saying something. It was certainly a hell of a lot less than her own costume, which was currently tucked away in her room.

"It is not nice! Nothing about it is nice." The sweater might have covered more, but it was itchy. Also, she's not supposed to be old. "The Island has cast some horrible spell on me and it expects me to pay no mind to the sudden and numerous body modifications" - not to mention unwanted - "and to go swimming!"

And why is her hair so long?! She understands that the island has replenishing stores of shampoo, but this much hair just seems unnecessary.

“Well, they are... impressive modifications. Maybe the island wants you to show them off.” And okay, if she was honest, Helena wouldn't entirely mind if she did. On the other hand... She considered the scrap of fabric in her hands and shook her head. “This is definitely going beyond, though.” Hookers wore more clothes than this.

She transferred her gaze back to the woman, frowning. “So if you didn't look like this before, what...” Taking in the hair color and the green eyes, she blinked. “Oh, wow. Starfire?” That had been the girl's name, right?

"Yes! And no... I think I may have unknowingly upset the Island somehow," she says, fiddling with the sleeves of her sweater. "If I knew what I had done I would apologize, but I can not think of anything." And she doubts a general 'I'm sorry' will fix the matter. In fact, she sort of fears it would just make things worse. She's begun to suspect that the Island is incredibly sensitive.

Curiosity had brought Hank down to the clothes box, after he'd followed the woman-shaped ghost from the elevator. Curiosity and hopefully the promise of mischief in a semi-public area.

He whistled to get her attention and gave her a mock salute. "Robin reporting for duty."

"Hank! ...You are not Robin." He has also apparently managed not to make the Island angry at any point, because he has kept his own body, while she is stuck looking like this. "It is I, Starfire!"

The world record for eye bulging was just broken.

"Ohh, Hank's going to hell," he muttered to himself, giving her a long once-over, physically incapable of preventing it. Not that he really wanted to, given what she currently looked like. Especially her... "Those look like a handful. --to manage. A handful to manage."

"What does? And why have you not been affected by this strange magic?" Star asks, giving him a few pokes in the shoulder. "Have I done something wrong?" Surely this has to be some sort of punishment, and her back fully agrees.
