Delirium wanted to be on the council. She missed her responsibilities, she missed being Insanity and everything that came with it but she was... well, her. No one would nominate her and she doubted she would ever pass their stupid human tests but she knew someone who could and would pass and who Del liked (and not just for her pretty braidable hair.)
Writing in unruly script that took up an entire page was one name. And a small doodled squid.
Will had a fair idea who had nominated Magnus, from the writing, but it didn't stop him from writing seconded beneath in sloppy scrawl (the angle was wrong for his left-handed writing). Magnus had some good ideas, after all, and the chance to put them into motion would be just the thing for her right now.
Rachel doesn't care if anyone else agrees with her. She's the smartest person Rachel knows (and she's never admitting that, ever) and knows like, everyone. She'd kick ass.
Wanda tended to stay out of island politics, but being a strong believer in the tactic of burying oneself in work to avoid more immediate, painful concerns, when she saw that one name remained absent from the list, she hardly gave the matter a second thought before fixing that. At worst, he'd decline the nomination with no harm done.
Pete was already up there. Although, the way he was at the moment, that would probably be an interesting campaign. Bad, bad times, of course, but Tony was kind of looking forward to that part of it, separate from the other emotion, in the partitioned way he dealt with these things.
Ianto was 98% sure that there was no one named Jarvis on the island. His knowledge of all the comings and goings on the island was not, of course, infallible. But this hunch combined with the fact that handwriting was exactly the same on both the nomination and the supposed seconding lead him to believe that it was best to err on the side of caution and assume Pepper needed another (perhaps real) seconding.
So he supplied that with his own neat handwriting.
It takes him almost ten minutes to write the names, his left hand, while capable in combat, is shit at writing, and the few times he lifts his broken right hand to steady it leave him redfaced and swearing, but Jason manages it. When he's finally done, the bulletin board bears three new names:
I've been told about this, the democratic process here on Tabula Rasa. It's funny to unknowingly wander past it, although when I realize what it is I'm seeing, it gives me pause and I almost smile. To see the spirit of democracy, that dedication to the very basic and fundamental idea of fairness and trusting responsibility to your peers, engenders this community I don't yet feel a part of to my good graces, I have to admit
