"Pants much?" she asked, in a tone of passing curiosity.

"Probably not a bad idea," he admitted slowly, letting Zero run forward to sniff at her while he turned away to go get some.

"Hey there, big fella." She smoothed her hand back over his ears and looked up to wait for Cable's return.

"Nice to see you," he says, wryly. It's possibly the first time he's smiled today.

He hadn't seen the other man since the disappearance of his husband and there was a certain amount of sympathy there that he wasn't sure how to express.

The genial host was a new look for him, but he was going to give it his best shot. It seemed the easiest way to express sympathy.

"Yes," he said as he quickly retreated back into his hut and slung on a pair. Before coming back out looking slightly sheepish, or as sheepish as he ever looked anyway.
"Better now?"

It was typical of him to phrase it in a way that made it seem like it was her out of step with the general population's views and not him but the apology was sincere.

"Delicate human sensibilities. They have very strange ideas in this century," Delirium said grinning as she looked him over. Delirium blamed Lucy, he of the fallen, for human shame. She'd had many words with him about that. "You could do that I suppose, I could take them off and you could put them on."
Delirium was still taking her t-shirt off though even if he did put some on. She was after all wearing a fishnet body stocking beneath it so it wasn't like she was exactly naked-naked and she was still wearing a skirt.

Since the offer had been scoffed at, he made no move to either get some clothes or cover himself up. He wasn't excited by nudity, either his own or hers, but he was comfortable as he was and trying to cover up felt too much like retreating. If Delirium, as he thought she was called, wasn't offended then there wasn't a problem.
His dog, meanwhile, barked excitedly for no real reason. Cable ignored it.

"Uh... laundry day come late this week?"

"I should fire my maid," he replied back, as he covered himself with the water bottle, for his sister's sake, before backing into his hut to grab some clothes, leaving Zero to cover his exit by running up to greet her.
