Luce is holding an arrangement of flowers and hadn't actually expected to find anyone. It's not like anyone even knows what she's been doing, but she'd seen the museum and all the art and couldn't help herself. "Oh! Hello, usually I don't find anyone in here," she says apologetically, heading to one of the wilting vases in order to replace it.
"Ah." Anthony raised an eyebrow slightly, fairly politely, at this woman he did not recognize. "Have you been bringing flowers in here regularly, then?" Mrs. Bell, he could not help but imagine, would have appreciated that.
"Well, I try," Luce admits with a ready smile, hovering by the little area she's sort of turned into a vase-holder without much permission. "I do bouquets and decorations, but the majority of my time is spent in boredom. Putting together some arrangements for the buildings is the least I can do."
"You haven't been here long, have you?" Anthony guessed, sounding coolly amused. In his mind, anyone who still believed they could stave off boredom must be quite green - or at the very least, naive.
"Sorry," Ianto called from the doorway, uncertain if he had intruded on a private moment. One could never tell with Anthony Blunt perhaps, but Ianto held to the same polite behavior with people he did not know.
Additionally, he had to set a good example for Cadi, currently asleep in his arms. "I saw the door open and got curious."
"No need to apologize," Anthony said with a polite, cool wave of his hand. He and Ianto had never warmed to each other - they had no reason to do so and all the reason not to - but the man still left him curious. "I only decided it was about time I opened things up in here again. How is Mrs. Jones?" The tone with which he asked after Charlie was so cool and pointedly polite that it was clear he had never warmed to her, either.
Ianto was not so out of practice that he could not detect the tone of Blunt's voice, nor did he let slip the slight smile of amusement that he wanted to. He only smiled politely, blandly, professionally as he answered.
"Very well, thank you. She'll be back to running circles around us in no time. And you? Back to your old tricks?" He let the requisite pause hang in the air. "Far cry from the Royal Collection, sadly."
"Not exactly, no," Anthony said with a somewhat dramatic grimace as he looked about. "But we've come down a bit in the world, haven't we? Besides, Mrs. Bell left in my custody, and how could I disappoint her?" He smiled as though at some private joke. It would hardly have been the first time he had disappointed Vanessa Bell. If anything, he had taken over her gallery to prove that he could do a better job at it.
