Changin' every day, every possible way

Blind date.

Those two words aren't ones that she'd heard in years. Years and years, not until after Terry, before Kyle, and far before Roy. Now, though, it seemed that Donna was, in fact, going on a blind date.

Provided, of course, that she could find something to wear.

Currently, she was tearing through the clothes box, trying to find something ( Read more... )

"You going on a date, too?" Walt asks when he comes across the woman, sitting in front of the clothes box. "I was set up for one, and I really don't have a clue what to wear."

He kind of had an idea, but having been here for long enough, he knew the clothes box wasn't exactly going to give him a nice shirt and pants without Walt giving up something of his own.

"Yeah, but..." She pulled out another- well. She wasn't actually sure if it was a shirt or a skirt til she checked the tag. "Apparently the box wants me to look like a hooker." She made a face. "You could wear anything, almost." She smiled, looking up at him. "Because you're a guy. Donna Troy, nice to meet you."

"That don't mean I'm wearing pink," Walt snorts, pulling out a bright pink shirt out of the clothes box.

"Walt Hasser," he introduces himself, holding his hand out for her to shake. "At least you wouldn't be a bad looking hooker," he adds, grinning, "I've seen some."

Donna opened her mouth, closed it, and couldn't stop the laugh that slipped free, even though her cheeks turned rosy. "I'm not even sure if I should be offended or flattered," she said, shaking her head. She pulled out yet another catsuit. ".... Or it wants me to take up being a hero again. There's not much room here for lycra."

"Oh, come on," Cupid protests as he leans on his bow and arrow and watches her studying the clothes. "I've totally been tons of help, what are you talking about?" he asks with a wink, heading inside to take the tutu from her hands. "Okay, maybe not this. At least, not in this color."

Donna shook her head. "Not that in any color." She blew out a breath, shaking her head. "Honestly, I don't know if I'm going to find anything. Seriously, look at this." She tugged out a catsuit out of the pile of rejects. That one happened to have the sides cut out of it. "I'm not Huntress, no matter what the box seems to think. Besides, this is a date, not like we're fighting."

She ran a hand back through her hair, and shook her head. "You're sure that he's- I mean. It's... been a long time." She looked up at him, and it was clear she wasn't sure if this entire thing was a good idea.

Cupid just leans back slightly as he tries to go for the whole 'cool, calm, and collected' thing that gods have going on for them. He even does the whole serene smile thing that everyone gets off on. "Hey," he coaxes calmly. "The worst that happens is things go badly and I find you some new squeeze, right? Right!" he brightly goes on. "Now how about something green for that earthy look?"

"Silver's much more my style," she said, and the box.... the box promptly gave her a dress that was, indeed silver - but spandex, and the size of a postage stamp. "So you happen to have a whole slew of guys who are 'just perfect for me'?" She looked up at Cupid, raising her eyebrows.

"Maybe I can help?"

Jim's grinning and, yeah, he's flirting but it doesn't mean anything because he'd be stupid to let it mean anything when he's just left someone as throughly spectacular as Spencer Reid, but, still, it comes to him as naturally as breathing and it's not like Donna isn't gorgeous.

"This old thing giving you shit, Ms Troy?"

"A ton of it, and you should call me Donna. I mean, you've nearly seen me in the altogether, if that's not a reason to use first names..." She shook her head, smiling. "I'm trying not to look like a hooker or end up in a catsuit for the blind date I've got. Think you can charm it?"

"Hey, sometimes I forget and call my boyfriend, Reid," says Jim, coming closer to the box. It still feels kind of weird calling Reid that, which doesn't mean that it's bad. It's far from bad.

"Donna, I can charm anything. I'll introduce you to Spencer some time and you'll see."

Donna's brows rise, and it'd be lying to say she isn't the slightest bit disappointed, but she's far from surprised. For all that she'd talked to him for two minutes, it seemed like, she still has a feeling that Jim was cut from the same cloth as Dick was - that is, sweet as can be, and never one to exactly settle down. "What you call your boyfriend in the bedroom is hardly any of my business, honey," she teases, her smile widening as she shifts back, to give him room.

"I'd love to meet him. Now, this is what it was giving me - a little too close to my uniform then I'm willing to admit." She holds up a glitter-spangled black catsuit, the fabric slipping over her fingers. "Something more substantial would be great."

Karolina laughs, standing in the doorway. "It doesn't want to help does it?" she says with a grin and crosses the room. Bending down she takes a quick look at all of the stuff the box has spit out for Donna. "Did I hear you say something about a date?"

"It's a tutu, Karolina. No, it doesn't want to help." She huffed out a breath, before looking over at the blonde. "Assuming I can find something that doesn't make me look like a streetwalker, you did."

She paused.

"It's a blind date."

Karolina gasped, putting a hand to her mouth as if she's shocked. She isn't as her smile attests. "A blind date, huh? That's exciting," she says. "But I guess no matter what impression you want to give, a tutu won't do the trick."

She sinks down to her knees beside Donna and eyes the clothesbox. "I have some things," she says cautiously. "Stuff that Monet gave me before she, before we," she paused and then shook her head. "It doesn't matter. But if you don't find anything here, I could lend you something. It's kind of a hike though."

Donna rolls her eyes as Karolina plays up the amazingness of Donna having a date. "It's... Hera, it's a good thing. I haven't been on a date in forever." She runs her hand back through her hair. "Really?" She bites her lip. "I may get lucky, but if it keeps sucking..." She trails off, looking over at Karo. "You okay, honey?"
