Aya's day started out like normal. He ate breakfast, more out of habit than hunger since his appetite hadn't been very good lately anyway, and then he went for his usual circuit around the Island with the intention of ending up at his hut. It was awkward, but every time Zack saw Aya he wondered if Genesis hadn't turned up. If Genesis ever did find himself on Tabula Rasa, Zack had a feeling he'd greet him with the wrong name. This was definitely Aya though. No red leather trench or tell tale sword.

"Aya, you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost." From Zack's perspective, he couldn't see the cross on the bed. As he continued walking closer, he grew more serious and a little concerned. It wasn't just a bed.

"I..I'm okay." It took Aya a moment to come back to himself and realize that someone else was there. So much for his assassin's instincts. "It's just something I never thought I would see again." And he would have been quite happy never seeing it again if it had been up to him.

At least his voice was calm, but he still glanced to the bed out of the corner of his eye.

"You sure?" he asked, tilting his head.

"So ... what it is? Another of those important things that only has meaning to you?" He wondered why there was a cross cut in it though.

"Yeah." He said with a nod glad that he was able to keep his voice calm.

He glanced to the bed nodding again. "My sister was ill and this is her hospital bed." He wasn't sure how to explain the cross yet, but maybe it was best that he didn't say anything at the moment. He would find the right words if he had to.
