It had been a good plan at the time. He was hot, he was going home from training, he was filthy, and the waterfall was right there. Yeah, it had been a good plan when he'd thought of it. He'd shamelessly stripped his shirt off and dropped it at the top of the falls, then picked his way carefully down to the ledge that jutted out high above the pool ( Read more... )

A thing of beauty really was a joy forever, Saffron decided, as she watched Jack take a graceful, naked dive into the waterfall pool. Or at least it was a very nice sight to come upon when all she'd been expecting was a swim.

She was definitely not naked, wearing her bikini with her white sarong tied around her waist. She also had her towel slung over one arm, which Jack looked like he might be in need of, and she was smirking a little as she went to crouch down at the side of the pool next to where Jack was lounging. "You look relaxed," she commented lightly, though she knew full well it was just as likely he was anything but.

"Do I?" he asked, cracking an eye to look at her even with the sun shining on his face.

"I guess I am. You come for the sun or to swim?: he asked. It never ceased to amaze him that for as long as they'd both been here, he was tanned and she remained just as pale and pretty as ever.

She did, in fact, have a tan, but she'd started out so pale it didn't look like much in comparison to the deep tans some of the other folks had, Jack included. She also had no tan lines to give an indication of the difference.

"Both," she replied, before setting her towel aside - within Jack's reach, should he want to use it - and then slipped into the water. She submerged herself completely, slicking her hair back from her face when she resurfaced, and settled herself against the rock next to Jack. "How was training this morning? Strenuous as usual?"

"Same as always," he confirmed. "It's hard, but it's good preparation...providing that if trouble comes I'm not stuck in the body of a young girl."

Jack wasn't what Logan had been expecting to find at the waterfall, but he wasn't complaining. In fact, he doubted anyone would complain when it came to Jack Harkness and nudity. After all, it wasn't a bad sight, not at all. The other man was all tan skin and muscle, chiseled good looks and that damn smile.

Sometimes that smile still made Logan hate him. Just a little. Just for a moment. Then something inside him would flutter awkwardly, and he'd find himself glancing away, embarrassed and irritated ...and stupidly smitten.

"Thought you'd still be at training," he said, clearing his throat and wrinkling his nose as he watched Linus wander off to start marking trees. Fully dressed, he crouched near the water, his leather sandals sinking into the ground.

"Just got done," he replied, not bothering to open his eyes. Logan's voice was enough to make him smile and he tilted his head back to stretch his neck a little. "I was on my way home, but I thought I'd cool off first. What are you doing?"

"Walking Linus," Logan shrugged, Jack's smile nearly enough to make him smile, though he fought it as hard as he could before slowly cracking and offering one in return. "Actually, it's more like he walks and I follow, but it seems weird to just let him go off on his own, you know?"

slipping his shoes off, he sat down properly and rolled up his jean legs, letting his feet dangle in the water. It was only then that he noticed that while there was definitely a very naked Captain in the lake- there weren't any clothes around. Not a single item.

"Uh, dude, where are your clothes?" he asked suddenly, looking around.

"They're up on the cliff," he said, lifting a dripping hand out of the water to gesture up toward the ledge. "It was one of those 'good idea at the time' things, and now I'm debating how fast I want to run versus the prospect of climbing the cliff naked just to get my pants."

She shouldn't have been surprised. As a point of fact she wasn't surprised. Not much, anyhow. Benny had come back to the waterfall again for her daily PT, bathing suit on, ball in hand. This wasn't the first time she'd run into other people enjoying the spot, but it was the first time she'd found someone skinny dipping, which was probably the most surprising thing of all given what went on on the island. It took her a moment to focus on his face and realize who the naked bloke was. That's when everything made perfect sense.

"How's the water, Jack?"

Jack turned to look, squinting against the bright sunlight, then he smiled at her. His hand slipped lower to cover up a little, only serving to accentuate the fact that he had nothing on.

"Colder than the ocean," he replied, "but it's not bad. You coming in?"

Benny's eyes followed Jack's hand and she lifted an eyebrow. "Couldn't have been that cold."

Tossing her towel down next to him she arranged herself on it as comfortably as possible so that she could start her exercises. "Yeah, but not until I'm done with the hand. It's my little reward system," she added with a smile. "How have you been, Jack?"

"I've been good. Working hard, playing harder. Not much around here really changes. Until, you know, it really changes. What are you doing with your hand?" he asked, twisting a little so the sun was out of his face and he could see her properly. It looked better, of course that might just be the lack of bandaging.

I had watched the dive with appreciation, but thought he'd done the whole thing on purpose. Now, watching him soak there with that look that meant wheels were turning, I was less sure.

"The flaw in the plan," I said, "is that now you have to climb back up and get them."

He couldn't help but chuckle and he turned to see who had caught him. When he saw Bagoas, he smiled even brighter.

"Yeah, that'd be a flaw in the plan," he agreed. "Good thing I'm not shy, right?"

I laughed. "As brazen as a Greek," I assured him. It was not the first time I had said those words to him. "But it might not be comfortable, I think."

"I'm going to take that as a compliment," he replied. "I was trying to think of what my options were. I could just walk home, although I'm almost positive someone might notice and disapprove."

Kon stared when the guy jumped off the cliff. Man, that looked like fun. Even better than the time that he and Dairine had jumped off the roof and onto the trampoline. Only after the guy had landed did Kon realize both who it was and that he was naked. With an opening like that, he couldn't help but move closer, snickering under his breath.

"Forget something?"

If there was anything he was good at, it was faking it. Jack smiled brightly and shook his head, then shook a little more to fling the water from his hair.

"Nope," he replied. "I meant to do that."

"You know," Kon said, giving Jack a considering look. "I can't tell whether you mean that or whether you're just really bad at sounding sarcastic." He looked up at where Jack's clothes had to be.

"Okay. I'll bite. Why'd you decide to jump in naked? Isn't it, uhh, a little, uhh...cold?" He fidgeted just a little.

"Well, I wasn't going to jump in in my clothes," he chuckled. Then I'd have to walk home in wet jeans. I had a plan."
