Lucy had just meant to look in the rec room for Scout, Pearl or Coin, Wednesday or Samara. She had the tent Coin had made her, and thought organising a camping trip up the mountain would be lovely now the weather was warm again

Karen has found shoes for ShorHor. Pink ones. Karen can't exactly do up shoelaces yet, but these ones have velcro. Rollie says he isn't an indoor horse, but as long as she takes him outside to poo, Karen thinks it'll be okay.
"Hi, Lucy," she says as she trots into the rec-room with ShorHor plodding behind her. Puffin's asleep on her bed. He was sort of grumpy when they woke up this morning.
Now Wendy Darling had been quite surprised herself when she had be woken up to a small furred creature licking her face quite animatedly. A dog, the best subsitute for a wolf-companion, of her very own, and so she was teaching him how to follow her, even if it did at the best of times require her to pick him up.
She had only just set him down in entrance of the rec room, when she saw the girl and the trunk. Curious as only she could really be, Wendy and her new found companion made their way over to them.
"Oh mercy, isn't that just the most fantastic thing in the world?" she stated, awhed slightly. "Is it yours?"
"It is wonderful, just the sort of delightful present to surprise you," Wendy agreed, nodding her head slightly as Rab gave an eager little bark.
Presents are things that Wendy appreciated, enjoyed giving and receiving generally just having. "Perhaps it was too big to fit in your room without you stumbling?"
"I don't know," she responded seriously, already considering if she should find Jon and get his help getting it back to the house. "I'm not sure how I'll get it home."
Pearl had just come from the kitchen, a glass of juice in hand. Her friend was by a chest she'd never seen in the room before, which alone made her curious as to what it was.
Coin had, in fact, been in the rec room, but anyone might have been pardoned for not seeing him, he being so still and nearly hidden behind a chair's back. It wasn't a deliberate hiding, he just liked to be still and quiet sometimes, if no one else happened to be around. Hearing such a good friend's voice, of course, quite did away with that criterion and he rose immediately.
"It's a box," he observed. This probably wasn't necessary, but at least it was definitely true.
"Queen Lucy only deserves the best." Belize told her with a smile, looking down at her. He knelt down so that he could get a better look at the art supplies. "And it looks like I'm not the only one who has noticed..." Belize winked and planted a kiss on Lucy's forehead.
Remembering the childhood zest and excitement about Christmas, Belize smiled down at Lucy.
"Of course they are!" Belize told her. "Great presents for a great girl. But there is one requirement, Lucy..." Belize lowered his voice to feign seriousness.

Maybe he wants to go to sleep on Rollie's head.

Truly, she's loved drawing for some time now, and to have all of these things to work with. She feels so lucky.
