Susan hadn’t been hiding. She had just been incredibly busy exploring the remote parts of the island with Binky. The fact there was no one else in the remote parts was an added bonus. She knew she had to come back to reality eventually - and she was pretty sure Anya was going to call a search party if Susan didn’t show her face soon

Anya had been worried about Susan. Of course, she'd also been content to have Xander staying with her each night but to not have Susan there, it worried her.

Of course that day her worries were replaced by worries about teaching history. Sure she'd lived through it, sort of, but she'd not paid that much attention through, well, most of it. So she was going into the rec room to grab books when she saw Susan. "Oh good. You're alive. I was worried."

Susan nodded. "Yes, alive, mostly. I might even sleep in my own bed tonight."

"Oh." Her face might have fallen at that. "Really?"

"Don't sound too excited." Susan hadn't expected to get that kind of reaction from Anya.
