Unless you 'have' to get a new Seaborn book out contractually I say go with your gut! Re choosing a project, try something super-simple first. Get someone to hold two pieces of paper behind their back, each representing one of your two projects you're looking to launch into. Get them to mix them up then choose - right or left hand. The result is usually very telling - if you feel a little disappointed at one being chosen instead of the other then, there's your answer - you really should be doing the one you're truly excited about. I agree it's good to stretch yourself into other projects/worlds/ways of writing but don't make it TOO hard on yourself as you do this first transition to a non-Seaborn project. Sometimes it's good to force yourself but now might be a good time to set your favorite puppy free and see how it grows ( ... )
