I'm doing a bunch of illustrations, some maps, and other material--including some new character studies below. Here are the first few panels of something new. It's science fiction, not our world.  I'm playing with a sketchy/palette-knife-ey 70s SF book cover style, not a lot of line work, but with lots of color.  This world is very alive, the main character's a botanist.

I've been idea-sketching and painting some new work with futuristic themes and really long titles like:

"LTC Ikuyo Annet, Corps of Engineers, Offworld Ops, 384th Construction Battalion,
Overseeing launchpad overhauls on Dermestith-Ore."  Or maybe the title is RTFS--Read The F***ing Sign.

...and it was damn fun.  I'd guess about 20 People or so.  It started out funny because Skott was driving and I told him 7PM when it turned out to be 7:30.  Speed records and law breaking ensued and we got some exercise running for the Alumni library only to find out...we were early.  Some good questions from the audience, and a good balanced panel ( Read more... )
