The concert had been a blasting success, the fans were delirious and satisfied, if not wanting more. Although most of their focus were usually on the lead singer, and perhaps the other guitarist, rather than on him, the bassist. But Nikita didn't mind not being in the spotlight, preferring to contribute in other ways possible, and leave it all to

For a moment, there was nothing. They were both holding so utterly still, and not making any noise at all. Ritsuka was just about to fall back into his bed, and maybe hug his guitar to sleep, when he heard the chords.
Then, he almost flew across the room, to hold himself against the door. His whole body leaned on the cold door as he pressed his ear against it, recognizing the song. He found himself smiling as he heard Nikita hum to it, and before he knew what he was doing, his hand was gripping the doorknob. The thin barrier separating them swung open slowly, and soon, Ritsuka was poking his head into Nikita's room, wide-eyed but smiling.
And maybe his cheeks were a bit pink too. Just a bit.
"That song... I know it." Stating the obvious.

"Ritsuka." The name slipped out in a whisper, a look of surprise on his face even as he tried not to smile too widely. "...c-come in."
He put his guitar back in the case and waved for him to enter, reaching a hand out toward the boy. His throat suddenly felt dry the moment they were in the same room, his room. "Not tired?" He remembered what he had almost said to Ritsuka, and wondered if the other was still curious.

"No, not really. Isn't Nika tired?" He believed that they were both notorious for not getting enough sleep. Ritsuka himself, having a bit of chronic insomnia, whereas Nikita just didn't like to sleep because of his music. Though of course, the other had taken it way farther than Ritsuka could have ever taken it. But that was in the past, and he chose not to dwell on such heartbreaking moments too much.
For now though, Ritsuka drifted into the room a little more, setting himself beside the bassist with a smile though his heart started somehow beating a little faster in his chest. He tried to calm it the best he could.

He was wide awake. Tired, indeed but not sleepy. There was a difference in that. He knew too that Ritsuka wouldn't knock off just yet, or else it would have been near impossible to hear his bass and humming.
Now that he had Ritsuka so close to him, Nikita was slightly unsure on what to do next. Right now, he merely leaned his head against the boy's shoulder, revelling in their closeness at this moment. There were so many things he wanted to ask, to be certain of their feelings for each other, to finally clear the confusion that clouded his mind.
"Ritsuka..." He began, but didn't say any more just yet.

... He smelled nice. Smelled like... Nikita. There wasn't really another way to describe it.
"Nika," he replied to his name, not really knowing what else to say but to call out the other's nickname. There was an obvious trusting tone in his voice, as well as a light smile. The nickname was cute.. and grew on him. However, he didn't say much more, opting to be patient. It had worked in the past... and he hoped it wouldn't fail him now.

He entwined their fingers together, a silly smile on his lips. Indeed this was one of those moments when Ritsuka patiently waited for him to speak, and him debating whether if he should reveal what was on his mind. In the end, he decided that it was best to make things clear.
"Ritsuka, do you..." A pause. "...do you like my songs?" He did wrote a few songs, but there was one particular one that was special, the one that he sung with him during the concert.

Waiting for Nikita to talk wasn't that bad, not when their hands were touching. Ritsuka had brought both of his to Nikita's dominant one, turning it while he fiddled with it. Idly, he poked at the tips of his fingers where there were callouses from his bass guitar while he thought about the words Nikita said. He didn't understand where the question had come from, or what it was leading to. "Mm... yeah." A smile, as Ritsuka traced a finger along one of the lines in the other's palm. "Of course."

Nikita had removed his gloves when he entered the room, tossed aside onto the counter with the snacks. So now they were bare for Ritsuka to examine and toy with, purposely moving his fingers in a kind of chase between his and the boy's prodding. His fingers froze at Ritsuka's words, catching the other's smile from the corner of his eyes.
His pulse began to quicken, heart pounding loudly against his ribcage as Nikita took in a deep breath. "Then do you like..." He let the sentence trail off, worrying his lower lip even as it mouthed '...like me?'

But he was anxious now about the boy's reply, uncertain as to how Ritsuka would take it. He knew that if it wasn't what he believed it to be, it wouldn't be the same between them any more. There was no going back to the way it was. At least on his side. Ritsuka looked confused, and Nikita could tell that because those flurry ears were tilted back, coupled with the boy's moving tail. It was all the signs that he was familiar with.
He registered the slight squeeze on his hand before he heard the words, and his breath was caught in his throat, almost not daring to breathe. Ritsuka had admitted it. But did the boy meant liking him in a friendly way, or in that manner. Nikita leaned closer to him, his free hand reaching to tilt the boy's chin up to face him ( ... )

From their close distance, Nikita swore he could hear Ritsuka's racing heart beats, or perhaps it was his own, thumping and skipping erratically. Either way, they were both nervous and excited. When Ritsuka pulled away, he almost whined, yearning for more. He smiled at the boy's bashfulness, a quality that made Ritsuka so endearing and well-loved.
"Ritsuka..." The moment the other glance up, Nikita would be locking their lips again. This time the kiss was with more passion, slowly deepening as he pulled the other closer to him, yet being mindful to provide the boy breathing space.

Then, when their eyes met, and lips met once again, Ritsuka couldn't do anything about the tiny keening sound that came rushing out from somewhere in his chest. He found himself raising a hand to grip Nikita's shirt and keeping his other on Nikita's hand. Just because he needed something to keep himself grounded and keep himself from getting absolutely lost within this feeling.
He pressed back, tilting his head naturally in order to press back with a little more need.

With that, he parted his lips, nibbling lightly onto Ritsuka's lower lip even as his tongue darted out to taste him, prodding gently for entrance.

He was nervous. But the nervousness was only adding to the new experience of kissing Nikita. He never would have thought that something like this could ever happen with the normally stoic man, so, Ritsuka was nervous. He was sure that he wanted this, though it felt like there were little butterflies inside him, fluttering and making him feel a little light.
