We have most of the rooms fixed, most of the important ones anyway. But if you would like to come and work on the supply room or the operating room with us, that would be fine. We haven't gotten to those yet.

[Lirael pushes away from the computer with a little frown, then shakes her head and heads out to the lobby to meet Stephanie. She hadn't spoken much with the girl when she was in the hospital before, mostly just treating her as quietly as possible. Stephanie reminded her of the Clayr, all blonde and tanned and beautiful, and she had still been new to being in charge of the hospital, at the time. Now, maybe she can actually say stuff to her.]

[ Stephanie is on her way with a bit of a skip in her step. Things have been going pretty well for her lately, and especially with her new house all nice and un-wrecked she feels accomplished. If Batman could see her now, she likes to think he would be proud.

It doesn't take her long to get to the hospital. Even less time is needed to find Lirael. Steph's spent enough time at the hospital that she knows her way around. ]

[Lirael is pretty easy to find, anyway, as by that point she's coming out into the lobby, smiling a bit at the sound of the door opening. She tucks her hair behind her ear-- uselessly, since it's pulled back; it's just a nervous motion-- and tries a greeting.]

Hello, Stephanie. You're looking well.

[Especially for someone who fell down a cliff, a few weeks ago.]

Yeah, well we have Anders to thank for that. I'd send him flowers if there were any nice ones on the island.

[ Steph keeps her easygoing stance, hands in her pockets and an amiable smile on her face. She likes to think it comforts people. ]

We have Anders to thank for a lot of things.

[Like Lirael not losing her mind and disappearing into the jungle, by now. Only probably not; she just would wind up breaking down in tears more often, that was all.]

I, um, am glad you're doing well, though. How long did it take you to put your room back together?

Pretty much since the storm. It's sort of been an on-going project since Namine disappeared.

[ She glances around, impressed by the progress. ]

You guys did a pretty good job cleaning up. Anything broken or lost?

[roadstotheriver]

We spent all day, the day it happened, picking things up and putting them the right way... the bookshelves and cut-down tables were the hardest.

[Mostly because of all the things that were supposed to be on them.]

Do you want to start with the supply room? It's one of the ones we haven't finished yet.

[Or even started. Because there's a lot of stuff down there, and it hasn't been really necessary to get at most of it yet, with no patients.]

Yeah, sure. There aren't any needles, are there? I have issues with needles.

[roadstotheriver]

[Smiling a little, and starting to walk towards the stairwell down, Lirael promises,] There are, but I won't make you deal with them. I can do the needles part.

[She pauses, then adds,] If you'd like to meet my kitten, she's on the way.

[selfmadehero]

[ She makes a face, following. ] Just as long as I don't get poked.

You got one of the kittens from that liter?

[roadstotheriver]

You won't get poked, I promise. [Lirael pauses at the door to her office-slash-bedroom.] She's in here, she's the little-- calico one, if you saw them? [Naoshi had told her what the word for the coloring was, so she remembers it now, even if it's a bit odd to say.]

Oh! Cute. I hear they have really pretty eyes.
