On Dec 23rd, Konoha is having a Winter Festival.  It's a lot of work to run something like that, so the officials asked if any of the high schoolers were available for slave labor helping to set up.  I'm always willing to help.

They are all not even sixteen years old, and made a pact so that they would get pregnant and raise their babies together. What in the world would make young girls decide to do this to themselves?
