Holiday & DIY ramble

Yule at the Quillen household was a low-key affair this year.  Isaac made it down from Asheville for Christmas Eve and Day, and Gavin came over as well.  Made a big batch of spanakopita triangles and apple pie for Christmas Eve nosh / DVD night.  Yule dinner was a decent batch of rogan josh with spiced rice, spinach salad and pumpkin pie with Isaac

Wow!!! I didn't decorate for Christmas either!! How weird is that? I just wasn't feeling it at ALL. I kept meaning to decorate, but the kids were going down to Tony's and it just never happened. I did do gifts, which I actually accomplished mostly online for the major stuff. Huge $$ savings, low stress, and major time saver. I have a lot of stuff that I'm "gonna" for next year, but one of my resolutions is to quit saying I'm "gonna," cause I mostly never do (whatever I'm saying I'm "gonna" about). I have a lot of things I want to do, including most of what was on my to do list at the beginning of last year :-/ I'll have to dust that off and actually DO something this year.

I've gotten better at being more realistic with my gonnas. (It's a start.)
